EUROPEAN OUTDOOR FILM TOUR
A two-hour film program featuring great adventures, strong personalities, and a dose of thrills: EOFT 2025 brings together the extremes. Are you in?
Look forward to: a 50-day trip through Alaska, where it's not just the snow-capped mountains that glisten. A bike tour to the highest peaks in all Swiss cantons, where each climb is sweetened with a typical Swiss pastry.
Also on the program: figure skating in Canada. Speed riding in Switzerland. A climber who fights her way back to the rock after a fall. And an inventor who has revolutionized the design of packrafts with her ideas.
Wild Days (Expedition)
Four friends and a crazy idea: Aurel, Chris, Hélias, and Alex dream of 50 days of complete autonomy. They venture into the Denali massif in Alaska on a challenging traverse and want to make it to the sea—on skis, with pulkas and packrafts.
WILD DAYS tells the story of their search for true wilderness, which tests body, mind, and friendship, stretches time, and inspires the spirit—as only a great adventure can.
Gipfeli of Switzerland (cycling alpinism)
Cycling through all of Switzerland's cantons and reaching their highest points on foot is a special kind of procrastination. Nevertheless, student Tobias Renggli prefers to hop on his bike and lace up his hiking boots rather than study for exams. Time is limited, the terrain is challenging, but above all, it's about the best Gipfeli.
Elladj (Wild Ice Skating)
Elladj Baldé is very close to his dream of competing in the Olympics. As a person of color in the oh-so-white world of figure skating, the Canadian has made it almost to the top. But what do we do when the beautiful plan doesn't work out? Elladj puts on his skates and, far away from all competitions and scores, finds a much bigger dream in the wilderness of Canada – wild ice.
Sheri (packrafting)
Sheri Tingey knew it even as a four-year-old: she prefers to make the world (and her clothes) the way she likes it. The designer combines a wild mixture of genius and stubbornness. She needs the latter to survive in the outdoor industry with innovative ideas as a 50-year-old woman. For example, a packraft for rapids! But history proved her right, and so SHERI is not only the origin story of her success, but above all the moving life story of a woman who simply never stopped reinventing herself and things.
Freja's Back (Climbing)
Early in the 2024 season, all-round climber Freja Shannon takes a serious fall on the north face of Les Droites in the French Alps – diagnosis: a broken back. But despite a grim prognosis, Freja fights her way back surprisingly quickly, first to her feet – and then to the rock. Together with her climbing partner Ariane Moreau, she tackles the route ‘Ave Ceasar’ – a perfect 7c trad route on the impressive Petit Clocher du Portalet (2,823 m) in Switzerland.
Drop The Line (Speed riding)
In his youth, Anthony Dutruy skied the lines on the Junior Freeride World Tour. After ending his competitive career, he looked for a new challenge and found it in speed riding. This combines skiing and paragliding. It's not without its dangers, as it requires even more planning and consideration than freeriding. But the sport quickly became his passion, and now he skis and flies down faces that many ski enthusiasts can only dream of.
